I chose this sweet garden flag design for my vacation cottage on Chincoteague Island because it’s a very timely reminder to my guests that it’s “foal season” for the wild herds on nearby Assateague Island. The aqua color nods to the coastal landscape and the foal’s pose is typical of what a visitor might see, hiking or taking a boat tour. While my cottage does offer Chincoteague Pony photography on a wall or in books, there are many other interests guests might have, so the garden flag doesn’t overly focus upon the horses, but certainly will evoke an “aw” moment as they make way to the front door entrance.
