Just for fun, I put together a little time-lapse video showing the "process" of drawing an original graphite pencil horse head study. Did you know that one graphite pencil sketch can take MANY different "shades" of graphite to complete? Even though a graphite drawing may be "monotone," it takes a lot of different tones and I use a whole array of different pencils to get lighter and darker shades of gray. The horse in this portrait is my very own, Gardiyan.
